Benefits of Professional Hawker 800XP, 850XP and 900XP Management

- Predictable, Lower Operating Cost: The Hawker already carries competitive operating costs for the midsize class – the advantage is in protecting that. Independent ownership means absorbing every fuel stop, engine-program charge, and unscheduled event at whatever the market charges that day. Under management, those costs move onto negotiated pricing and a planned annual budget – so your cost per hour stays both lower and, more useful for planning, predictable.
- Protected Residual Value: With the line out of production and a large, well-understood fleet still flying, a Hawker’s resale increasingly turns on the quality of each aircraft’s records and the status of its engine programs. Because your aircraft is maintained to the manufacturer’s program with complete, continuously documented logbooks, it reaches the market with the clean paper trail buyers pay a premium for. That value is built over years of disciplined oversight – not assembled in the weeks before a listing.
- Maximum Availability, Minimal Downtime: The Hawker’s appeal is a dependable, comfortable midsize jet ready to dispatch on demand, and the value of ownership is having the aircraft available on your schedule. Proactive inspection planning, engine-program and recurring-AD tracking, and disciplined parts management are handled ahead of the curve, which keeps a compliance item from becoming an AOG surprise. The benefit you feel is simple: the aircraft is available when you want it.
- Reduced Ownership Risk & Liability: With safety oversight and Part 91 and Part 135 obligations held by an accountable, independently audited operator, that responsibility shifts off you. You keep the asset and its use; the operational and regulatory exposure sits with professionals whose standards are verified by recurring third-party audits.

Hawker 800XP, 850XP and 900XP Overview
Few midsize jets have been as widely flown as the Hawker 800 series. Descended from the British-built HS-125 that first flew in the 1960s, the line matured into one of the most successful and recognizable midsize families in business aviation – and three variants, the 800XP, 850XP, and 900XP, remain among the most active midsize aircraft in charter service today.
The Hawker 800XP – the “Extended Performance” model introduced in 1995 – is the volume leader of the family, with roughly 450 built and the most common variant of the Hawker family in North American charter service. Powered by two Honeywell TFE731-5BR engines, it offers a range of about 2,540 nautical miles, a maximum cruise speed near Mach 0.80, and a 41,000-foot ceiling. Its flat-floor, stand-up cabin seats eight passengers with a full galley and enclosed lavatory, and at six feet wide it is roomier than the midsize average – part of why the aircraft became such a fleet favorite.
The 850XP and 900XP built on that foundation. Certified in 2006, the 850XP is essentially the 800XP with blended winglets that add roughly 100 nautical miles of range, along with upgraded Collins Pro Line 21 avionics and a redesigned interior. The 900XP, introduced the following year, added uprated Honeywell TFE731-50R engines for stronger climb, better hot-and-high performance, and a longer range of roughly 2,800 nautical miles. All three share the same proven airframe and cabin, and all three benefit from a mature global support network – an advantage that, with the type no longer in production, makes knowledgeable management more valuable than ever.

Our experienced charter sales team actively promotes your aircraft while carefully managing scheduling to balance owner usage with revenue opportunities. Through our established industry relationships and sales channels, we help maximize charter utilization and increase earning potential, so the aircraft works to offset the cost of owning it.
Why Aircraft Management Matters
Because the Hawker 800 series is out of production and much of the fleet is now well into its second or third decade, ownership requires active oversight of engine programs, maintenance events, parts sourcing, regulatory compliance, and long-term asset planning. Handling these responsibilities without professional support can be time-consuming and costly. Capital Jets delivers turnkey management that eliminates the operational burden while protecting the value of the aircraft.
