Our full-service management program coordinates every aspect of operating your aircraft, from flight operations and crew management to maintenance oversight, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and charter revenue generation and optimization.

Managing a Gulfstream super-midsize jet requires specialized expertise. Our experienced team keeps your aircraft current on its inspection program and recurring airworthiness directives, ready to dispatch on demand, protecting long-term asset value while reducing operational complexity for owners.

An experienced team oversees every decision regarding the operation of your aircraft, giving you one point of contact and personalized attention to every detail – crew hiring and training, maintenance scheduling, dispatch, and FAA compliance – so you can enjoy hassle-free ownership and the service that Capital Jets offers.

Benefits of Professional Gulfstream G200 and G280 Management

Gulfstream G200 in flight

  • Predictable Operating Cost: Both the G200 and the G280 carry engine and maintenance programs that reward planning. Independent ownership means absorbing every fuel stop, engine-program charge, and unscheduled event at whatever the market charges that day. Under management, those costs move onto negotiated pricing and a planned annual budget – so your cost per hour becomes something you can forecast rather than absorb.
  • Protected Residual Value: For both aircraft, resale increasingly turns on the quality of each airframe’s records and the status of its engine-program enrollment. Because your aircraft is maintained to the manufacturer’s program with complete, continuously documented logbooks, it reaches the market with the clean paper trail buyers pay a premium for. That value is built over years of disciplined oversight – not assembled in the weeks before a listing.
  • Maximum Availability, Minimal Downtime: The appeal of a Gulfstream super-midsize is capability on demand – the G280’s transatlantic range and short-field performance, the G200’s spacious wide-body cabin – and the point of ownership is having that available on your timeline. Proactive inspection planning, engine-program and recurring-AD tracking, and disciplined component management are handled ahead of the curve, which keeps a compliance item from becoming an AOG surprise. The benefit you feel is simple: the aircraft is ready when you want it.
  • Reduced Ownership Risk & Liability: With safety oversight and Part 91 and Part 135 obligations held by an accountable, independently audited operator, that responsibility shifts off you. You keep the asset and its use; the operational and regulatory exposure sits with professionals whose standards are verified by recurring third-party audits.

Gulfstream G200 and G280 Overview

The Gulfstream super-midsize story begins with the Galaxy, an aircraft designed by Israel Aerospace Industries and introduced in 1999. When Gulfstream acquired the program in 2001, it became the G200 – and it gave Gulfstream, long known for its large-cabin flagships, a genuine foothold in the super-midsize class. Around 250 were built through 2011. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306A engines, the G200 cruises at up to Mach 0.85 with a range of approximately 3,400 nautical miles, and its defining trait is space: a wide, stand-up cabin that seats eight to ten passengers and feels a class above its operating costs.

Gulfstream G280 InteriorThe G280 is its successor, and while the two share a lineage, they are very different aircraft. Launched in 2008 and certified by the FAA in 2012, the G280 was substantially redesigned by Gulfstream – a new wing based on the G550 planform, a T-tail, more powerful Honeywell HTF7250G engines, and the PlaneView280 flight deck built on Collins Pro Line Fusion. The result improved on the G200 across nearly every measure. The G280 delivers 3,600 nautical miles of range, enough to fly the U.S. East Coast to Western Europe nonstop, at a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.85, and it climbs quickly to a 45,000-foot cruise altitude.

What makes the G280 especially capable is its runway and approach performance. With a balanced field length of roughly 4,750 feet, the highest thrust-to-weight ratio of any Gulfstream, and certification for steep approaches, it operates comfortably from short runways and high-altitude airports that constrain other super-midsize jets. Its cabin, stretched over the G200’s and lit by nineteen windows, is among the quietest in its class. In both cases – the G200’s exceptional cabin volume and the G280’s range and versatility – the qualities that make these aircraft worth owning are the same ones that make disciplined, knowledgeable management worthwhile.
